UNSW MarkSoc
The University of New South Wales Marketing Society (MarkSoc) was founded in 2003 as a constituent society to provide all marketing students from the School of Marketing, UNSW, with a voice. We sought to provide our members with the competative edge in the workforce through enhancing student competencies academically and with industry-experience.
Our society provides the link between the driven marketing students, the School of Marketing and private organizations.

The Clemenger Group Graduate Program (AKA the Seven Brains Program), which was established to select seven leading graduates to rotate through a number of Clemenger companies has expanded this year with an intake of twelve graduates.
This programme will see graduates rotate through seven Clemenger companies in Sydney and Melbourne in the public relations, advertising, direct, digital, experiential, healthcare communications and shopper marketing fields.
The successful applicants will rotate through three of : Clemenger BBDO (Sydney and Melbourne), Clemenger Proximity, Traffik, URSAClemenger, Porter Novelli (Sydney and Melbourne), CHE and Creative Activation (Sydney and Melbourne) over a period of three three-month rotations to get a taste of what each agency offers, and are paid an entry-level salary for this period. At the end of the 3rd rotation placement hopefully all of these graduates will be offered full-time positions within the Clemenger Group.
The Clemenger Group is Australia’s largest and most successful group of communications companies, with over 40 businesses in the group operating across key marketing and communications disciplines.
The graduate programme began on February 7th, 2011 and is run annually. Prospective applicants for 2012 can obtain more information from www.sevenbrains.com.au from July 2011. For more info contact Tim Parker

Hello all UNSW Marketing students! Welcome to the first 2011 edition of MarkSpace, UNSW Marksoc’s quarterly email. I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break (even if it was filled with doing an internship or stressing about starting uni!).
This is just a quick note from myself and the executive to let you know that we have great things planned for Marksoc for 2011 – the quizzes and reports will still pile up though we want you to know that Marksoc will have a wide range of events on in 2011 to help you manage the uni/work/life balance.
There are social events that are simply there for you to have a good time with other marketing students and academics, there are careers events to help you learn about the vast field of marketing and we've got a heap of other stuff planned over the year for you guys as well!
2011 is shaping up to be an exciting and rewarding year for the Marketing society: the support of Arc, the School of Marketing and an awesome team of dedicated exec's who are already lining up some great events for the year.
Make sure to keep updated by visiting the Marksoc website and joining our Facebook page (just search: UNSW Marksoc) to get updates on events, jobs and competitions.
All the best for the year ahead – and remember, UNSW Marksoc is here for you!
Regards,
Andrew Barclay
