Master of Commerce

Postgraduate education is provided for those who hold a Bachelor's degree. The Master of Commerce is a 2 year full-time course, designed to equip graduates with generic business knowledge and skills which can be applied to a variety of complex business problems and contexts over time, while also providing the ability to focus on an area of specialisation.

The program is ideal for business graduates who wish to acquire additional skills in business disciplines outside of the area they studied at undergraduate level. Non-business graduates can use the Master of Commerce as a pathway into business and management.

Within the Master of Commerce course, Marketing can be chosen as an area of specialisation.

in Marketing:

  • This specialisation is concerned with analysing consumer behaviour and developing marketing strategies in competitive markets, both domestically and internationally. The specialisation takes an intellectually rigorous approach, drawing not only on the general field of marketing but also the related disciplines of economics, finance, psychology, sociology, mathematics and statistics.

in Tourism Marketing:

  • This specialisation focuses on the tourism and hospitality industry, specifically on the planning, promotion and delivery of attractions, events, meetings, transport and lodging. Hands-on operational study and industry work placement is available as an option. This not only gives graduates all-important practical skills, but also gives them the chance to obtain the Diploma of Tourism and Hospitality Management Studies from Kenvale College.
