Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Economics

Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics are single degree, 3 year full-time courses. Students studying under these degrees have a choice of up to 2 majors (if you are studying BEco, Economics must be one of your majors).

  • Bachelor of Commerce is a flexible program with a solid grounding in fundamental business disciplines. Students are equipped with the essential skills required for the wide-ranging challenges of the contemporary business world.
  • Bachelor of Economics is a business program with a focus on economics. Students develop analytical skills and learn techniques that prepare them for policy and decision-making challenges in both the private and public sector.

Marketing is one of the sixteen majors that can be chosen when studying Bachelor of Commerce, and one of the ten majors (excluding Economic disciplines) that can be chosen when studying Bachelor of Economics.

UNSW also offers a series of combined degrees for students studying in the Australian School of Business. Marketing can be studied in the following combined degrees:

Bachelor of Commerce in Services Marketing - Tourism and Hospitality

Bachelor of Commerce (Services Marketing - Tourism and Hospitality) is a 4 year full-time degree. Students must study 2 majors, Marketing and  Tourism and Hospitality Management. Students may also choose to undertake a third optional major from those offered in Bachelor of Commerce excluding Actuarial Studies.

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Services Marketing - Tourism and Hospitalty) is a business program designed for students seeking a  career in hospitality, hotel management or tourism. The degree includes a Diploma of Tourism and Hospitality from Kenvale College.

 

Marketing Co-op Scholarship - Bachelor of Commerce

Marketing Co-op Scholarship is a 4 year full-time degree program, offered to undergraduate students at UNSW with the following special features:

  • For high achieving students the UNSW Co-op Program offers an ideal combination of challenge and opportunity.
  • Co-op students receive structured industrial training and gain valuable work experience with up to four different employers.
  • On graduation, sponsors are always looking to recruit Co-op Scholars.
  • UNSW academics and senior managers from industry and government have jointly planned Co-op requirements.
  • In 2008 Co-op scholars are receiving a tax-free scholarship of $15,000 per annum.
  • At present we have 150 of Australia’s leading industries sponsoring 470 scholars across 24 different programs.

This course combines the requirements of a Bachelor of Commerce degree with coordinated industrial experience. Industrial experience extends outside University semesters.

Bachelor of Social Science (Marketing)

Marketing can also be studied as a major in a Bachelor of Social Science degree. It is a 3 year full-time program. Please see the UNSW Handbook for more information.
